About us
The Clay Shed started as a shared hobby between father and daughter, Carl & Gemma.
Carl's retirement from 'the day job' meant that The Clay Shed could grow from hobby into micro-business.
Two years on, with thanks to some fabulous customers (and the voluntary efforts of daughter Gemma, wife Sue and even granddaughter Ivy!), Carl continues to hand throw pots day in and day out, selling them on this website and at an array of markets and events across North Yorkshire.
As every piece is individually handmade, they all differ in size, shape and colour, making each one truly unique.
